Hulk Hogan Endorses Obama

Published: February 19, 2008

We haven’t been waiting for this at all, but that not withstanding it came last night on Jimmy Kimmel.  World Wrestling Federation legend and sometimes reality television star Hulk Hogan has endorsed Barack Obama. With some prompting from Jimmy Kimmel, Hogan admitted that he believed Obama was the only candidate with something to offer.

In the race toward what will no doubt be a bloody general election, it doesn’t hurt to have fighters on your side. Hogan was on Jimmy Kimmel promoting his latest foray into bad television, the strategic combat reality show American Gladiator.

Blackline believes the Obama endorsement might be Hogan’s subtle way of challenging recent fellow endorsers Chuck Norris (Huckabee), Rick Flair (Huckabee), not to mention Rambo himself, Sylvester Stallone (McCain). Blackline suggests forgoing the general elections right now for an all out American Gladiator brawl, and then maybe these dime a dozen endorsements will mean something again.

Then all these battles tearing down hope and all these silly attacks over “plagiarism” will take a back seat over battling these guys:

No word from the Clinton Camp on her own lack of wrestler/action-hero endorsement. Hillary Camp might look into Chyna Doll of VH1’s Surreal Life fame; she might be between seasons.

This news is outdated. Hogan just stated on “The View” that the Obama endorsement was a mistake and that he changed his mind. On McCain Hogan stated, “MCCAIN, I WHEN SEE HIM SERVING HIS COUNTRY WHEN HE WAS YOUNGER, I MEAN, EVERYBODY HAS STEPPED UP TO THE PLATE AND IT’S A VERY CRUCIAL TIME FOR CHANGE.”
